Built by 100 German masons over 6 years, the 9,300 square foot Castle is constructed of local silica sandstone, painstakingly brought to the property by horse and wagon in the Gilded Age. The Castle has been modernized over the years while retaining its classic charm, including a lavish ballroom complete with two stone fireplaces and Grand Staircase. With a dungeon tucked into a secret passageway, griffins providing stony vigilance, steep topography maximizing natural defense, and a turreted rooftop with battlements and a spectacular view, the Castle hearkens back to European traditions.

The magic of the season returns to the Berkeley Springs Castle! We are delighted to host the fourth annual "Christmas at the Castle" fundraiser for the Bath Christmas Project on December 11, 12 and 13th.

These special afternoons are all about Bath Christmas Project's mission of turning our sweet town into "Christmas Town!" The Berkeley Castle Foundation is donating our unmatched venue space, and the all-volunteer Bath Christmas Project has transformed it into a Christmas wonderland featuring hundreds of feet of stunningly decorated garland, a 13' live Christmas tree, themed rooms and an unforgettable selfie spot with the biggest wreath you've ever seen.

Best of all, 100% of ticket sales go directly to the Bath Christmas Project, funding their mission to decorate our beautiful town of Berkeley Springs for everyone to enjoy.
